Learning the Spanish language as a novice is difficult enough as it is (and there certainly are some extraordinarily difficult Spanish words to pronounce! Although syllables are a lot more consistent in their pronunciation in Spanish than in English, learning Spanish can still be a challenge for those who have never had exposure to the language in the past. Some letters are pronounced extremely differently in Spanish than their counterparts in English. And some letter combinations can be very troublesome for a beginner.
That’s not true of all Spanish words, however: many sound extremely similar in English and in Spanish. By practicing first on Spanish words that have sounds and English speaker would be familiar with, novices can give themselves a leg up. Once you get your mouth used to working Spanish words, you’ll be an expert in no time.
How to Pronounce Spanish Words Correctly
If you are trying to learn how to pronounce Spanish words correctly, work your way through this list one by one. Spend a couple of minutes on each word pronunciation. Repeat it until you feel you have it completely mastered. Once you’ve made it to the end, try to go through from front to back, slowly at first and then increasingly faster.
