How do you sing the alphabet in Spanish?
If you’ve ever tried to sing the ABCs in Spanish, you may have gotten tripped up when you realize partway through that Spanish has some extra letters! (ñ and rr, por ejemplo). Plus, when you factor in some of the different pronunciations of the letters, the rhyming starts to sound a little off.
Well, Spanish actually has its own alphabet song, with a completely different melody than the American version. This accommodates for the extra letters and pronunciation discrepancies. Even as an adult, I sometimes find myself singing the Spanish alphabet song in my head when I need a little help remembering how one of the letters is pronounced. I will admit it!
